Audio/Video Control Systems and Video Walls
Completed
Argosy Casino, Kansas City, Missouri
Technology is the name of the game at this Kansas City casino, both inside and out. Two giant video walls with 37 plasma screens on the casino floor let you watch sporting events while playing, and more than 850 tubular strobe lights blend into the building exteriors for a nighttime light show animating the entire building. Controlled through a sophisticated DMX computer system, a blink of the eye is all it takes to change from a shimmer to an explosive Vegas-style light show.
Project Description
Installation of Audio/Video Control Systems and Video Walls for the Argosy Casino in Kansas City.
The Audio System includes announcement microphones, background music sources, digital message repeaters, satellite receivers, and telephone paging. The system includes 24 audio reception zones; ambient sensing microphones were used to retain a constant sound level. To provide sound coverage throughout the casino three hundred seventy-one speakers were installed.
The Video System includes satellite receivers, video messaging unit, and personal computer. These video sources can be routed to any or all of the forty-one plasma screen monitors or the video projector. Source selection and control is performed from the seven touch screen panels.
The Control System provides for audio or video source selection, routing and volume adjustment from touch screen panels. Additionally, TSI installed two Video Walls. One wall includes 27 Clarity displays in a 9x3 configuration. The other wall includes 18 Clarity displays in a 6x3 configuration. Combined with a powerful software program by Scala, the walls will project any combination of video and signage with limitless creativity.
