The School of Architecture at Washington University in St. Louis Designed for Film Students usage in Media with High Definition. The venue features lectures, workshops and case study presentations.
Project Description
TSI installation shows dual operational locations. The Podium and Tech Booth will have a touch panel and user items for presenting. There are Audio, Video, and Control Systems.
The Audio System has 14 speakers designed with a DSP and Surround Sound processor for control and separation. Listening to the audio system the overhead speakers are for voice reinforcement and the front, sides and sub bass speakers are for the surround sound audio. When in Lecture mode the system supports source video audio, IPod docking station, 3 floor box locations, 6 wired microphones inputs and 4 wireless microphones. While viewing a film, DVD, or computer presentation the audio is in surround sound. The control of the sound is via a 17” touch panel for podium or 10” touch panel in the Tech Booth.
The Video System consist of 1 HD DLP 16x9 projector, 1 standard 4x3 projector LCD projector, 2 large screens for applicable formats, 2 scaler switchers, with 2 DVD players, 2 cpu along with 2 laptop inputs. The same touch panels used for the Audio systems will control the Video systems also. All the video is designed for future growth and is sent as a digital format over Cat5e.
Control Systems is designed with Creston projects utilizing the Quick media Cat5e format. The two operational locations have a touch panel per place. A 17” monitor/touch panel installed in the podium and a 10” touch panel in booth. The podium touch panel is a preview monitor for all the sources along with being the control interface. Items to control, Power on/off, Audio volume, (microphones & sources) Projectors, Screens, Tuners, DVDs, Switchers, DSP, Lighting, E-control, Room control.
